By Ilona Krasutskaya: Today, Minsk brought together 250 talented schoolchildren and students from all over the country. In fact, this is the beginning of one more New Year's tradition – to invite those who will create the future of Belarus to a special New Year celebration at the Palace of Independence.
The winners of school Olympiads, young innovators, inventors and the most active children received a unique opportunity today to talk with the President of Belarus. In the busy schedule of Alexander Lukashenko, there is always an opening for meetings with young people. After all, the future of the country depends on it. The successes of these young talents are encouraging. Among them are victories at traditional competitions and Olympiads, as well as progressive scientific developments.
Talking to the guests at the Palace, Alexander Lukashenko noted that in the future he wants to see these young people become talented doctors, successful businessmen, artists, and scientists. The main thing is not to be afraid of difficulties. After all, great victories are made up of small achievements. The President also spoke about eternal values and the importance of human communication, mercy and love for one’s native land.
The young people promised to return to the Palace one day. When they graduate from their schools and universities, they will pursue the careers of their dreams and will become honorable guests of the Palace again – when they attend the ceremony of presenting State Awards.
