By Ilona Krasutskaya: Today, the President of Belarus met with the Ambassador of Pakistan at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. Masud Khan Raja has been with a diplomatic mission in Belarus for 3 years and is now completing it.
The two counties established diplomatic relations almost 25 years ago, and the more often politicians meet, the higher the level of trust and the stronger their friendship is.

In the last couple of years, the two countires managed to achieve tangible results. The trade has increased, new agreements were signed (80 of them all in all), and assembly facilities were opened. The plans for further cooperation are no less ambitious.
The fast-growing market of Pakistan (with a population of almost 200 million people) is now interested in almost all goods produced by Belarusian enterprises – from food products to road construction equipment. Belarus offers Pakistan opportunities to develop its industrial potential.
During the recent visit of the President of Tajikistan, Alexander Lukashenko suggested organizing an exhibition of Belarusian products to reach out to the neighboring countries – the Afghan and Pakistani markets.
Belarus and Pakistan intend to strengthen cooperation in agro-industrial complex as well. Among the priorities are the training of personnel, setting up processing enterprises, and exchange of technologies. The parties plan to sign new contracts in Minsk this summer during an agricultural forum to be held within the framework of the BELAGRO exhibition.
