President's working visit to Sochi ends. Negotiations last 4 hours

Alexander Lukashenko confirms the inviolability of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including in trade, economic and military spheres, our countries are jointly taking measures in the fight against coronavirus. The agenda includes the implementation of large bilateral projects, integration issues of the Union State, joint response to emerging challenges. Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia considered Belarus as its closest ally and would fulfill all its obligations. Alexander Lukashenko began the protocol part (with words of gratitude to the Russian side and personally to the Russian leader for support in a difficult political period.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that 10 million people in Russia work in enterprises that are connected with cooperation with Belarusian partners. Our country is actively buying raw materials and other components. Moreover, Russia is the main market for Belarusian producers. Close cooperation between the countries would continue, Alexander Lukashenko assured. Vladimir Putin confirmed cooperation in the financial sector. Russia plans to provide Belarus with loan of $1.5 billion in the near future. The heads of states also discussed the Belarusian-Russian tactical exercises, which started today. 

The leaders discussed the pandemic. Alexander Lukashenko acknowledges that the second wave can be stronger. There is no such situation in Belarus, as in a number of European countries. Vladimir Putin confirmed that Belarus would be the first to receive a vaccine against coronavirus developed by the Russians. The dialogue continues at these moments in a private format. The talks between the Presidents have been going on for about 4 hours.
