Belarus is interested in expanding its presence in Asian markets. In the conditions of economic pressure, expansion of partnership with the countries of the far arc is one of the priorities of economic policy. India is an example of that. President met with Ambassador of India to Belarus Alok Ranjan Jha on June 16.

The relations between our countries are multifaceted. There are many joint initiatives and projects which strengthen them. There are plans to consolidate cooperation in many areas. This year Belarus and India celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. Much has been done. But new projects are ahead. There is every reason for that - both political will and economic interests. Moreover, today the geopolitical situation changes the vectors of "gravitation" for business from all over the world.

"As a historian, I am absolutely convinced (and we will see this soon) that the entire planet will develop, focusing on the part of Asia in which India is located. Great China, great India. Very promising and dynamic regions, they will be the trend-setters for the whole world in the near future. We welcome this future of the planet and would naturally like to find our place in the growing Indian economy. We would like to enjoy and have the support of the Indian state at all levels. We will not be left in debt," said the Belarusian leader.

India is a huge potential market for Belarusian products

New Delhi is one of our major partners in South Asia. The fact that India is the third economy in the world adds weight to the partnership. It is a huge potential market for Belarusian products. Our country is the major supplier of potash fertilizers, and India is their major consumer. The states, in fact, determine the pricing policy on the world markets. A separate item is pharmaceuticals. This is one of the strategic directions for India. Three pharmaceutical investment projects are being implemented in our country.
