A number of statements were made today during the President's meeting with journalists. Reporters asked the Head of State about his opinion on the Ukrainian spy, on the prospects for production of electric cars in Belarus, as well as on the summit of Eastern Partnership, which takes place in Brussels today. A personal invitation had been sent to the President of Belarus. But at the beginning of the week it became known that our country will be represented at the forum by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. Reporters asked the Head of State to comment on this decision and on the prospects of Belarus' relations with the EU.

Currently, new cooperation programs are being set up for the future interaction within Eastern Partnership. Alexander Lukashenko made it clear once again: Belarus will continue to develop relations with the European Union exclusively on the basis of mutual respect and equality, without ultimatums.

The schedule of the President is very busy. A series of international meetings will be held in the near future. On Thursday, Minsk will host the summit of the CSTO. All the leaders of the participating countries confirmed their participation. The President of Kazakhstan will arrive in advance with an official visit. The agenda of the summit includes more than ten questions pertaining to security. Signing of a new agreement on information security is especially important.
