A major investment project on creating a multifunctional centre was discussed at a presidential meeting today. The centre will be located within Krasnaya, Masherov, Kuibyshev and Kiselev streets on the territory of the Horizont association and trolleybus fleet number 1. Alexander Lukashenko announced a fundamental requirement - the benefits of the project implementation should be directed primarily to state interests.

The President received reports from First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko, Chairman of the State Control Committee Alexander Yakobson, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nikolai Ladutko, Assistant to the President Kirill Rudy and Horizont CEO Yuri Predko. The President instructed to finalize the project. Its implementation will be actively involving the Minsk City Executive Committee with the assistance of one or more Belarusian banks.

According to Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, reduction in the production areas within the capital is an objective process facilitated by the relocation of certain enterprises and factories outside the city and the introduction of new equipment, which entails a reduction in the demand for labor force and the vacation of production areas.
