Reception on behalf of President held on Old New Year's Eve

The Belarusian people are able to overcome all the difficulties. This conviction was expressed today by Alexander Lukashenko at a reception on behalf of the President of Belarus on Old New Year's Eve.

The event is a long and good tradition when journalists, athletes, government officials change business dress codes for evening dresses and suits and communicate in an informal setting. While addressing the guests, the head of state noted: the main thing is not to slow down or deviate from the chosen path.

Alexander Lukashenko presented state awards to civil servants, artists, and journalists. The Belarusian leader presented the Order of Honor to the Chairman of State Control Leonid Anfimov, the Head of Brest Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Lis and Mayor of Minsk Anatoly Sivak. Valentina Gartsuyeva, an actress of Yanka Kupala Theater, was awarded Francysk Skaryna Medal. Yulia Shpilevskaya was named the Honored Artiste of the Republic of Belarus. For high professionalism and contribution to the development of information policy our colleague Elena Nasacheva, the host of "Panorama" and "Main air" programs, received gratitude from the President.
