Alexander Lukashenko’s first official visit to Pakistan began yesterday. The Belarusian President was welcomed at Islamabad Airport by the country's authorities, the honour guard, as well as by tens of cameras and even a mobile TV station. Late in the evening, the two leaders held one-one-one negotiations to be later joined by members of official delegations. The key topic was the economic prospects of cooperation between the two countries. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus and Pakistan should work hard on developing the economic component of the relations.
