Official visit of President of Belarus to Uzbekistan continues

Yesterday Alexander Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked about the expansion of trade and cooperation.

The potential of commodity circulation between the countries is estimated at one billion dollars. The visit of the Head of State is already on the front pages of newspapers. This is a new benchmark in relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan. In his turn, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that he would not recall so many specific documents and agreements signed at the highest level with any country. The participants of the talks especially note the warm and friendly atmosphere of the talks.

Today, the talks between the two leaders continued unofficially. Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Alexander Lukashenko to visit his residence as a sign of special respect and friendship. In an informal atmosphere the Heads of State communicated more than 3 hours. Alexander Lukashenko was the first foreign leader to visit the residence of the President of Uzbekistan. According to journalists, Shavkat Mirziyoyev never invited heads of state to Kainarsay.

In the meantime, the large-scale exhibition Made in Belarus continues in Tashkent. The trade and negotiation platform was launched by the Heads of State. The results of its work have yet to be calculated, but it has already caused an unprecedented stir.

More than 150 large domestic companies participate in the exhibition Made in Belarus. Residents and guests of Tashkent can taste and buy Belarusian products here. On the eve of the Forum of business and inter-regional cooperation, 82 contracts worth about 200-million dollars were signed.
