During the meeting Alexander Lukashenko said he was grateful to Slovakia for the normalization of relations between Minsk and Brussels. The President expressed hope that the visit of the Slovak delegation will become a new stage in the development of relations between the countries. The parties discussed all the issues of mutual cooperation. Slovakia is an important partner for us in Central Europe. This country is interested in closer cooperation with Belarus in at least five economic areas. At the same time, the Belarusian side is ready to start as soon as possible to discuss in detail and implementation of those projects.
The program of the Slovak prime minister includes a series of meetings. Robert Fico will visit Vitebsk, where there is a Slovak pharmaceutical company, which specializes in the development and production of innovative medicines.
