In a few days' time it will be 35 years since one of the major man-made accidents in the history of mankind - the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

During his working trip to the Chernobyl-affected regions, Alexander Lukashenko inspected the territory from the air.
And tomorrow the President will get familiar with life in the districts and people. The Head of State always pays close attention to the lands affected by the man-made disaster. Much is being done to restore this land to full-fledged life. By the way, the tradition of presidential visits to the Chernobyl-affected area is more than a decade old. The Belarusian leader visited them nearly 50 times. As a rule, the visits last several days, this trip is not an exception. Alexander Lukashenko will stay in Gomel Region until Monday.
