Working visit of Belarus President to Kyrgyzstan

Security and regional stability issues are discussed these days in Bishkek. The President of Belarus also arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit. Alexander Lukashenko will participate in the CSTO summit. This is a political-military alliance. Today it includes 6 states - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. And the main task of the organization is to ensure security in the entire space of the member states of the treaty, as well as to combat international terrorism. The CSTO's supreme body is the Collective Security Council. The next session of the council will be held tomorrow in Bishkek. In Bishkek, Alexander Lukashenko will outline the position and main proposals of our country on the development and strengthening of regional and international security. It is well known that the problems on the Tajik-Afghan border, the work with the UN within the framework of the global anti-terrorist strategy, and the issues of protection in the information sphere are on the agenda. As a result of the CSTO Collective Security Council session, the parties will sign a number of documents that should improve cooperation among the CSTO member states. Traditionally, the Head of State will hold meetings and negotiations with his foreign counterparts during the summit.
