Lukashenko's working visit to Russia continues

19 февраля 2022

The working visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Moscow continues. Today, the focus is on military cooperation. In general, the agenda of the trip is quite broad: from urgent security challenges to the development of a common economy. Belarus and Russia should jointly resist the external pressure - the leaders are convinced.  Sanctions rhetoric with regard to our countries will continue. But it is easier to resist it together. Our President is convinced that the chances of the West to break Belarus are negligible. Both Lithuania and Ukraine ignoring economic common sense have suspended the transit corridors for our fertilizers. But there is a way out. The key to success is in the decisions of our neighbors and a solid foundation of our relations.

Belarus will build its own port near St. Petersburg

Neither Belarus nor Russia want conflicts: neither economic nor military ones. This was the main idea of the talks. At the same time the presidents are unanimous in their views, if necessary, the parties are ready for a tough and asymmetric response. For the first time in decades, we are on the threshold of a conflict that could drag the entire continent.
