Not to break the national education system, but smoothly and calmly improve it to the needs of the time, economy and modern society. This was the main message of the President of Belarus at a comprehensive meeting on the development of the Belarusian school. The educational system must change in the rhythm of our time. Belarus cannot afford any revolution or stagnation in this most important area. The first basis is that universities should prepare practitioners in not the theorists of the day before yesterday.
In total, the country already has hundreds of educational centers and laboratories, jointly with domestic and international companies.
Another step in the support and development of talents will be the children's technology park. Its goal is to collect geniuses from all fields of knowledge from mathematics to literature, thereby increasing the general level of knowledge. The world knows successful examples, although the task is very difficult.
The problem of private higher education is closely related to the export of services. If education is bought as a service, then there is a temptation to save on quality. This discredits the entire system and is unacceptable in our system, believes the President.
The most pressing issue for students and their parents is the assessment of knowledge. The Minister of Education suggests returning to a balance of exams and tests. The order of the President is once again to carefully review the entire test system.
