Presidents of Belarus and Moldova take part in Field Day ceremony

Presidents of Belarus and Moldova took part in the Field Day ceremony, timed to the start of the sowing campaign.

Alexander Lukashenko and Igor Dodon visited the Institute of plant growing. The leaders studied the exhibition of modern Belarusian agricultural machinery, discussed with the leadership of the institute the development of cooperation between countries in the field of crop production. Just now, farmers have started sowing corn. The presidents made their contribution to the future harvest as well.

Alexander Lukashenko often works on his own backyard and participated in the sowing campaign on Igor Dodon’s small farm. The seeds grown on this field will be handed over to our farmers. Almost 95% of the machinery in the fields is made in Belarus. Local tractors have been helping farmers since Soviet times.

During the meeting with the head of the government Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus and Moldova need to create new productions more actively. It is necessary to undertake new projects in various fields. The assembly of trolleybuses and tractors has already been organized. This year the assembly production of passenger buses may be launched. In general, Belarus can make a significant contribution to modernization of municipal services: from the supply of elevators to the construction of roads.

A decent package of documents was signed after the talks. Among them are agreements on cooperation in health care, science. Approximately 60 Belarusian companies have their representative offices in Moldova. On this day, a business forum was held in Chisinau. Contracts and agreements worth $ 20 million were concluded.
