The development of the trade network in Belarus was discussed today during the working meeting between the Head of State with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tabak-Invest Pavel Topuzidis.

The project of neighbourhood shops was presented to the President. The project is aimed at construction of commercial facilities in the country, with both small shops and large shopping centers. Now a unique complex in Shklov is being constructed. The project includes a supermarket, a cinema and a cafeteria-type food court. The complex will become a distribution center for the supply of stores in the Shklov district. It will also fulfill orders of buyers, where there are no commercial facilities. Alexander Lukashenko has approved of these proposals. During the conversation, the Head of State paid special attention to organizing trade in the countryside and in small regional cities. The President considers it necessary to create a competitive environment there, which will help reduce prices and improve the quality of services in villages.

Within the last couple of years, Tabak-Invest has built 26 stores in Belarus with an area of 160 to 1,500 square meters.
