The President met with the representatives of the Ukrainian media to discuss prospects for cooperation between Minsk and Kiev, ways of building the dialogue with the new President and the role of Belarus in resolving the conflict in Donbas.
The heads of the news agencies such as Ukrinform, Interfax-Ukraine, the chief editors and special correspondents of major television channels, as well as the chief editors of the "Pravitelstveny Kourier" newspaper came to visit us.
Forum of Belarus and Ukraine Regions in Zhitomir on October 3-4
The Head of the State will go to Zhitomir for the 2nd Forum of Belarus and Ukraine Regions, where he will meet Vladimir Zelensky. The meeting at the Palace of Independence is focused on the most pressing topics, that affect our neighbors.
This meeting is an opportunity for an honest dialogue. The well-known and honored journalists of Ukraine attend the meeting and there is no doubt in their professional skills to reflect the events in their country. The General Director of the Ukrinform news agency asked the President about the relations with Russia, building a new dialogue with the United States and a new formula for relations with Ukraine.
Belarus and Ukraine managed to maintain trusting relationships and even strengthen cooperation in spite of the current problems. Our country gave home to thousands of Ukrainian refugees. Our Ukrainian colleagues inquired about the President’s opinion on possible options for resolving the conflict in the southeast of the country.
