President meets with head of International Hockey Federation

The President of Belarus emphasized healthy lifestyle and prolonging the active life of professional athletes at the meeting with head of the International Hockey Federation Rene Fasel. Rene Fasel is a longtime friend of sports. He defended Minsk as the capital of the World Cup in 2014. The Federation then experienced serious political pressure, but it did not change its choice. Belarus and Latvia were chosen as venues for holding a joint World Championship in May 17 in Cologne. Minsk and Riga will host the main hockey festival at home ice arenas next year. The President of Belarus promised to hold the championship with dignity.
