Border protection is a matter of national security. Today the President has inquired border officials what specific problems they plan to deal with this year and how they are going to improve the living conditions of border guards and their families.
The Belarusian state is a reliable barrier to the growing flow of migration, drug trafficking, and other criminal activity.
The mobile groups of border guards proved especially efficient. They helped to cut the number of border violations twice, including at the Ukrainian border, in spite of military conflict and seasonal migration.
Similar mobile units will be created at Grodno section of the border.
