President holds meeting on development of Mogilev Region southeast

The head of state is making a working trip to Mogilev Region.  Alexander Lukashenko announced his visit during recent staff appointments. In the beginning of the year, the President repeatedly criticized the region for weak performance. An ex-minister of agriculture was sent to save the region. Leonid Zayats today reported on the changes: increased exports, reduced number of unprofitable enterprises, the average wage is growing. The President listened to the reports of the Minister of Agriculture and the Governor, the basic demand is the same: not to slow down the pace of the harvesting campaign and other agricultural work.

Following the results of the visit to the enterprise, the head of state instructed to update the national program for the development of fisheries and provide the relevant proposals by the end of the year.
