President holds meeting with head of Sberbank of Russia

Sberbank has been offered to expand its domain in Belarus’ market at today’s meeting between the Belarusian President and the head of Russia’s largest bank. Alexander Lukashenko and Herman Gref discussed the global economic situation and its impact on financial sectors in Belarus and Russia. The meeting was also attended by Russian businessman Mikhail Gutseriev.

A separate topic of the talks was the development of relations with Sberbank. Its subsidiary BPS-Sberbank is operating in Belarus. Today, the financial holding company is the largest investor in the country’s economy.
