At a meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies, the President has reviewed today a number of criminal cases investigated under his control.
Operative and investigative materials regarding the work of republican and local authorities, as well as unlawful acts of certain officers of law enforcement agencies were examined.
Following the meeting, the President made a number of personnel decisions, including those concerning the Operational Analytical Center of Belarus. The commission created on behalf of the Head of State has studied its work. The President made a decision to suspend from office some employees of the Center until the investigation of the facts presented to the President finishes.
At the end of the event, journalists asked the press secretary of the President of Belarus whether the situation surrounding the death of a soldier in Pechi was discussed at the meeting. According to Natalya Eismont, this subject is under strict control of the Head of State. The President instructed to study the situation down to the last detail and present an objective result. The President’s position in this matter is so strict that none of the perpetrators will evade responsibility.
