President makes personnel decisions

Alexander Lukashenko has appointed new ambassadors of Belarus in South Africa and Argentina. Vladimir Astapenko will represent the interests of our country in this South American country, as well as in Uruguay. Alexander Sidoruk has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia. The President also agreed to the appointment of Leonid Batianovsky as Consul General of Belarus in Chinese Guangzhou. When addressing the diplomats, Alexander Lukashenko reminds that the Belarusian Foreign Ministry should follow the way of reformatting its work.

Sergei Savitsky will take the post of chairman of the Uzda District Executive Committee. Sergei Kulagin will now work as the head of the Gorki district. The President agreed on the appointment of leaders of some districts in Gomel.

Alina Korbut is now rector of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. Irina Kiturko has become the head of Grodno University named after Yanka Kupala.
