President Alexander Lukashenko has set a task to overcome a decline in oil processing at today’s meeting in the Independence Palace, dedicated to the development of the country’s important industry. This sphere plays a strategic role in the economy - the share of oil refining exceeds 13% in industry and makes up about 17% in exports. The state has invested a lot in modernizing the refineries, which has not yet paid off properly. Hydrocarbon processing significantly depends on the situation in the world market, where frequent fluctuations in prices for raw materials and finished products have been observed in recent years.
Today’s meeting in the Independence Palace discussed ways to improve the efficiency and economies of the industry’s enterprises.
