All investments in health and infrastructure add to the image and credibility of Belarus. After all, the European Games is the last step before the Olympic Games in the unofficial table of ranks.

Opening of the Games will be held on June 21. This is a multisports event with 15 sports and 199 sets of medals. Eight kinds of sports are the qualification for the Olympics in Tokyo, a good chance to get through to the planetary show of strength, agility and speed.

At the executive committee of the National Olympic Committee, all 15 sports facilities were checked meticulously. The Prime Minister as the head of the organizing committee reported on each. There are no problematic issues. Test competitions are held in the arenas. Expert estimates are high. The President promised personal on-site inspections. One of the important accents from the Head of State is maximum use of domestic materials, equipment, technologies and products.

Viktor Lukashenko was approved as the Acting First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee. This post is temporary. Viktor Lukashenko will combine it with the post of presidential aide for national security. The priority in his work will be international cooperation and holding major sport forums in Belarus, including the II European Games, as well as the athletics match between Europe and the USA, which will be held at the Dinamo stadium in September. Viktor Lukashenko will work in collaboration with the Minister of Sport and Tourism, as well as with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of sports.

It is difficult to overestimate the coming European Games for the image of a sovereign European country. Belarus will certainly provide guests with traditional friendliness and hospitality. For our young state, the large-scale sports festival will be an additional impetus to national unity.
