President signs order additional measures to address topical issues Belarusians

1 июля 2020
Today the President signed an order on additional measures to address urgent issues in the life of Belarusians. Working more actively with people, being attentive to their problems is a task for the whole vertical of power. Many suggestions were also made during the signature collection by the initiative group. The document has accumulated all the most important things that people care about: whether it's a big city or a small town: medicine, housing and utilities, construction, reconstruction of roads and services as well as issues related to social policy, pricing, payment of salaries. This document is the basis for a plan of specific activities. Orders are given for each region. Their implementation will be monitored by the Presidential Administration together with the State Control Committee and reported to the Head of State on a quarterly basis.

There are no small problems, in fact. If they create discomfort in people's ordinary lives, they become big. There is something that many people are worried about, such as jobs, salaries, clean water, good roads and availability of quality service.

The President also has a clear guideline for his political headquarters to focus on working with citizens' appeals, accumulating problematic issues, including during the collection of signatures. And the main thing is to contribute to their solution.

All suggestions from people were gathered by the initiative group during the signature collection and a plan of action was proposed. It was the basis of the order.

Mikhail Orda, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus: "I must say that some of the issues have been resolved today. And those issues that relate to pricing, medical care, education, creation of high-tech jobs, are complex issues that require legislative decisions, require funding, they were promptly submitted to the Head of State".

By order of the President, people shall not be subject to unjustified dismissals. After all, losing a job is always stressful, especially if the city is small and there are few available places.

The decree also supports those who enter higher and secondary special institutions and after graduation will go to work on specialty in their city. This is especially true for agricultural specialties. Such a step is a follow-up to a decision taken two years ago.

Igor Sergeyenko, Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus: "It is planned to build a number of social facilities, including in the education system, children's pre-school institutions, in a number of cities, such as Dzerzhinsk, Soligorsk, Zaslavl, support the development of Mogilev, Polotsk District, Pinsk and many other regions. Serious attention is paid to the issues of housing policy, further development, allocation of funds for the construction of rental housing, housing for the military, as well as the arrangement of military urban facilities ".

The execution of the document will be at the President's personal control. The administration together with the State Control Committee will monitor the implementation on and report to the Head of State on what has been done quarterly.
