The President instructed to prepare amendments to the Tax Code and continue the digitalization of the system.
The head of state discussed topical issues of taxation with the relevant minister and the financial block of the government. The logic of the requirements in this area is that the taxation procedure should be as comfortable as possible for the business community, while guaranteeing the implementation of the country's legitimate interests. The new version of the Tax Code has been used for almost 2 years. It simplified administration primarily for small businesses. The Code encourages conscientious payers, makes it possible to correct mistakes, see delays, and does not immediately fine. More than 97% of taxpayers fulfill their tax obligations on time on a voluntary basis.
Digitalization is also coming to the fore. Almost 90% of all business entities have evaluated the electronic format of interaction with the tax authorities. In general, further digitalization will automate the processes of tax administration and control. So, the costs are lower - the convenience is greater. The digitalization of the tax sector will go through the creation of a unified system of intelligent data processing, an increase in the number of electronic services. This will make it possible to work in an environment that ensures the simplicity, completeness and traceability of tax payments. Proposals would be ready in 8 months, said the relevant department.
