President of Belarus meets with Chairman of the Customs Committee

Today, the President met with the Chairman of the Customs Committee. Alexander Lukashenko continued the conversation about creating comfortable conditions for business and increasing the country's transit attractiveness. According to Yury Senko, the customs office relies on electronic technologies and automation, and this has already made it possible to prevent the growth of queues and timely handle the commodity flows that go through our country. This year they have increased significantly. The President asked a number of questions to the head of the department.

Since new year, the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union will enter into force. The document is ready for ratification in the Belarusian parliament. More than 100 proposals came from business - more than half are taken into account in the new document. The head of the Customs Committee handed the copy of the Code to Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of the Customs Committee reported on the optimization in the department. The development of electronic technologies requires personnel changes: an important element of the process was the unification of t Grodno and Oshmyany customs offices.
