Belarus views the development of cooperation with Russian regions as one of the key areas in its economy. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko, as he met Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, in the Independence Palace. The neighbors are interested in developing joint projects in science, and the experience of Belarus in agriculture will be useful for the Urals region. Moreover, Minsk is ready to deliver passenger equipment, including electric buses. Belarus proposed to expand production cooperation in mechanical engineering.

By the way, Sverdlovsk Region is one of the most dynamically developing regions in Russia. Local factories supplied materials for architectural structures such as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and the British Parliament. Ekaterinburg is also a bridge between the European and Asian parts of Russia: this is where the Trans-Siberian Railway runs.
