Sowing of cereals in Belarus should be completed by early May. This task was set by President Alexander Lukashenko during the trip to the Khoyniki district. The Head of State traditionally visits the affected regions on the anniversary of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. All the settlements of the Khoyniki district are in the zone of radioactive contamination. Today, ecologically clean products are made and cultivated here.  The settlements of the region have changed significantly over the past few years.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that he is against import of fertilizers and ordered Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusyi to thoroughly investigate the matter. In addition, the President familiarized himself with the machinery operating in the fields of the Khoyniki district. All of it is produced in the Gomel region. The President also visited the production site of the dairy products company involved in the production of whey powder. Full implementation of the project will create 50 new jobs. The annual revenue per worker already makes up more than 120,000 dollars. Then Alexander Lukashenko answered the questions from journalists and the local population.
