The President's working week began with new personnel decisions.
Alexander Lukashenko appointed Leonid Zayats to the post of Deputy Prime Minister. He will be in charge of agriculture. Earlier he held the post of Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic. For a long time, he was the Minister of Agriculture and then the Governor of Mogilev Region. So, he knows this field better than anyone.
One more appointment made by the President is our Ambassador to Cuba and the Dominican Republic, Valery Baranovsky, will also represent Belarusian interests in Nicaragua. Eight more people have been agreed to new positions. Igor Zhuk will head Grodno State Medical University. Alesya Abramenko will take the vacant position of Deputy Minister of Economy. Ruslan Varankov is going to be the Consul General in Vietnam. Tatiana Kharlap will be the Consul General to Hong Kong. Alexei Skraga was appointed the General Director of Belarusian Potash Company.
Viktor Filatov will be the new head of Bobruiskagromash. The President says the enterprise needs to improve the quality of production. Alexander Bykov will be the Chairman of Chashniki District Executive Committee. And Mikhail Gurinovich will be the head of the Secretariat of the Council of the Republic.
