Belarusian President to pay working visit to Russia

President Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to pay a working visit to Russia today to attend a session of the Union State Supreme State Council and the 4th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia. One of the central issues on the agenda is trade and economic cooperation results over the past year. The parties will discuss building up relations in mechanical engineering and the agro-industrial complex.

Alexander Lukashenko is also expected to meet with the Russian President to discuss the most important cooperation issues between the two countries both on a bilateral basis and in integration formats.

Tomorrow, the two leaders are scheduled to participate in a plenary session of the 4th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia.

The Forum of the Regions will focus on trade and economic cooperation, information technologies, cooperation in mechanical engineering and agro-industrial complex. An exhibition at the Expo Center will feature over 250 Belarusian products by 84 companies. But first of all, the Forum of the Regions is a platform for dialogue between the top managers, governors and businessmen of Belarus and Russia.

60 agreements are ready for signing. The total worth of the potential contracts may exceed 400 million dollars.
