14 января 2020
The President discussed salaries and pensions, housing construction and people's health as key issues with the leadership of the Council of Ministers today. A wide range of experts took part in preparing for the conversation: local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and relevant departments.

Such practice of a dialogue with the authors of draft legal acts proved its effectiveness. The government provides full information on promising documents, and concrete decisions are made here. Economic issues are highlighted: housing constructions at affordable prices, companies that benefit from artificially inflating the cost of work.

Alexander Lukashenko is primarily interested in social aspects. A mechanism for eliminating unscrupulous mediation of state bodies is proposed. This is a new source of income for the real sector and a reason for increasing wages to employees.

Another issue concerned professional pension insurance for jobs in adverse conditions. There is a proposal to provide this category of citizens the right to receive an early pension. Approaches to goods' waste and packaging are under special control. The President supported the draft decree on the introduction of a deposit-pledge system in working with packaging. The global results, the most pressing issues regarding import substitution and supply of raw materials for Belarusian enterprises were talked over during the meeting. Belarus considers it economically inexpedient and pointless to pay premiums to Russian oil companies in previous volumes.
