President of Belarus makes personnel decisions regarding largest national media organizations

Yesterday, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a number of personnel decisions regarding the heads of the most important national media.

Alexander Lukashenko appointed Ivan Eismont Chairman of the National State TV and Radio Company. Dmitry Zhuk was appointed editor-in-chief of the newspaper SB – Belarus Segodnya. The President also approved the appointment of Igor Lutsky as the director of STV.

Addressing the new leaders, Alexander Lukashenko highly commended the work of those who headed the largest national media up to this time. According to the President, the central mass media in Belarus needed changes. The future priorities should be international experience, as well as an attention towards the staff.

Also, the President appointed Nikolai Latyshonok as the President’s Aide on general matters. Alexander Lukashenko drew particular attention to the need for cooperation with the presidential aides in the regions.
