President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the leadership, personnel and veterans of the Customs Service on the 30th anniversary.

The President has addressed special words of gratitude to the veterans who have laid solid foundations for the efficient work of the Belarusian Customs Service in preventing smuggling, illegal trafficking of drugs and weapons, counterfeit and low-quality goods across the border.

"As a result, your team today has a serious human and technical potential to solve the state tasks set before you at the proper quality level. However, the increasingly complicated situation on our borders requires even greater dedication, responsibility and competence from each employee," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state expressed confidence that the Customs Service will continue to serve the Fatherland with honor and dignity, reliably counteracting all forms of transboundary crime, ensuring the attractiveness of transit and a favorable business climate in Belarus.

The President thanked the personnel and veterans of the Customs Service for their faithful service, firmness and fidelity to the oath, and wished them strong health, personal and family well-being, new professional achievements for the benefit of the country and the people.
