President: Belarus becomes arena of confrontation of foreign interests

17 ноября 2020

Features of foreign policy are being discussed today at the meeting with the head of state.

The Prime Minister, heads of both chambers of parliament, the Security Council, and the Presidential Administration are involved in the conversation about what is happening on a global scale.

Minsk has to react to a whole range of big events. The heated conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is turning into a political plane. Military confrontations continue in the Middle East and North Africa, European protests have not disappeared. And the US elections leave a mark on the future policy of Washington.

But the most important issue is the situation around Belarus. While traditional allies are firmly committed to their support, other states have taken an openly destructive stance.

Coronavirus affects all the world events. The pandemic hits the economy in the first place. And the physical disruption of ties between the countries, of course, is not to the benefit of export-oriented Belarus. So, adjustments in foreign trade are also possible. This is another urgent task for the diplomatic corps.
