The Prime Minister and Head of National Bank report to Alexander Lukashenko about situation in economy

The situation in the economy of Belarus was discussed today at the meeting of the President with the leadership of the government and the National Bank. Andrei Kobyakov and Pavel Kallaur reported on the results of socio-economic development during the past period of this year, and the situation on the currency market. Alexander Lukashenko was interested in cooperation between Belarus and the international financial institutions. Among them there is a project on the reconstruction of the auto-road Minsk-Grodno, which is implemented jointly with the World Bank.

Measures taken by the National Bank allowed maintaining stability in the foreign exchange market. According to forecasts of the regulator, the situation will not change until the end of the year. The President was informed about the problematic issues in the enterprise.

And today the President met with the Prosecutor General of Belarus. Alexander Konyuk reported on the crime situation in the country. In general, the number of crimes for the last six months has decreased. The meeting was held in the presence of the head of the Security Council, the Presidential Administration, the State Control Committee, the Investigative Committee and the Operational and Analytical Center.
