On behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf, President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Governor General of Canada Julie Payette on Canada Day.
The Head of State noted with satisfaction the constructive atmosphere of understanding and trust that has been established in Belarusian-Canadian relations. He stressed that the convergence of approaches on a number of issues on the international agenda, as well as the pursuit of specific results, contribute to full partnership between the two countries.
"Despite the trials that Belarus and Canada have faced in connection with the pandemic, I am confident that we will be able to preserve trade and business ties, expand inter-human contacts and soon launch mutually beneficial projects in various industries," says the greeting letter.
