Preparations for meeting of Supreme State Council discussed by President of Belarus and Russian Foreign Minister

The Belarusian-Russian relations, preparations for the meeting of the Supreme State Council in Minsk and international cooperation are the main topics of the meeting between the President of Belarus and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

This is the first working visit of a diplomat to Minsk after his re-appointment to the post. Alexander Lukashenko and Sergey Lavrov discussed the details of the upcoming meeting of the Supreme State Council and specified the date and the issues of cooperation. Special attention was paid to integration issues in the context of the Union State as well as the possibility of expanding the cooperation of the EAEU with other states and integration associations.

"I have already held detailed and confidential talks with Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei. We considered a number of issues of our cooperation."
