Negotiations of Presidents of Belarus and Russia to be held in Moscow

25 декабря 2018

The plane of the Head of State landed at Vnukovo airport around noon. For the Belarusian leader, this is the seventh visit to Russia this year. Before the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko called these negotiations difficult. After all, it is necessary to analyze bilateral cooperation and make plans for 2019. One of the most sensitive issues on the Union agenda is the oil tax maneuver.

The last three years, Russia has reduced the export duty on oil, but the tax on production is growing. Because of such actions, our country has already lost a few billion dollars. In 2019, Moscow will compensate the losses for its own refineries, but our refineries are losing the money.

At the EAEU summit in St. Petersburg, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin agreed to resolve all roughnesses in the relations of Minsk and Moscow before the New Year. Experts expect that the negotiations will allow us to find a point of contact and resolve issues.
