Ensuring national security is in the focus of the President's attention today. The heads of law-enforcement agencies gathered for a meeting to discuss the situation. Against the background of the exacerbated situation on the external contour, it is extremely important to keep one’s finger on the pulse and to foresee the development of the situation one step ahead. The Belarusian army needs to develop taking into account modern experience in the conduct of military operations. The situation in the region shows: in the near and medium term, the threats to military security in our country will be at the level of high aggravation.
Another acute issue is on the agenda. Chernobyl nuclear power plant and all nuclear facilities of the exclusion zone were left without power supply (power-supply was limited by the Ukrainian side). Yet, it is extremely necessary for safe operation of the spent nuclear fuel storage. Alexander Lukashenko ordered Belarusian specialists to provide power supply to the plant.
The President has ordered to pay special attention to Ukrainian refugees. It is the area of responsibility of Brest and Gomel governors in the first place. But other regions of the country are also ready to help.
