The President has listened to the report made by the Minister of Internal Affairs. Igor Shunevich has informed the leader about the criminal situation. There is a decrease in crime rate in the country. This trend has been observed for more than a year. This is the result of a set of measures taken by the state. In 2017, the internal affairs bodies received more than 184,000 crime reports. This is 11% less than the result of the same period last year.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed his gratitude to policemen for their brilliant actions to neutralize the bank robber in Mogilev. The President decided to reward the law enforcers who took part in this operation.
The sports theme was touched upon at the meeting as well. The minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also the head of the supervisory board of the hockey club Dynamo-Minsk. Affiliated organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are ready to provide young hockey players with affordable outfits. This was the President's assignment. The uniform was presented earlier. It consists of Belarusian materials by 80%. The minister is convinced that such uniforms will be in demand among small sportsmen.
