Belarus and Russia strive to create equal conditions for work of citizens and economic entities

In the Belarusian-Russian relations it is necessary to finally create equal conditions for the work of citizens and economic entities. The President said this at a meeting with the Russian foreign minister. Sergey Lavrov arrived in Minsk to participate in a joint meeting of the boards of the two foreign ministries. 

Belarus is Russia’s fourth trading partner among all countries of the world. Only China, Germany and the Netherlands are ahead. Belarus is the leading partner among the CIS countries.

The last two years, Minsk and Moscow have made progress after a difficult period in bilateral trade. A surplus of $ 26 billion is observed for the incomplete 2018.

 

Following the meeting, the Russian minister said that the state of bilateral relations was discussed in line with the agreements that were adopted at the presidential level. The upcoming events in the framework of allied relations, including those in multilateral formats, were discussed. Journalists were interested in the issue of mutual recognition of visas. The agreement can be signed between the countries at the Federal Council of Ministers in mid-December of the current year.
