President of Belarus meets with contestants of Junior Eurovision

Let the strongest contestant win the competition! With these words, the President addressed today the participants and delegates of Junior Eurovision at the meeting in the Independence Palace. This Sunday we will know the winner of the song contest. Yesterday the Euroweek was launched. The National Exhibition Center BelExpo gathered more than three hundred guests. Among them there were twenty contestants with their delegations.

First of all, they enjoyed a tour of the Palace of Independence. The children got acquainted with the historical halls, where important international forums were held. The meeting with the Belarusian President was held in the winter garden. During easy and open communication, Alexander Lukashenko said parting words to each participant.

In memory of the meeting, participants, delegates and organizers of the competition presented Alexander Lukashenko with a gift - a symbolic grand prize of the children's song contest. This is a transparent glass microphone with colored lines that symbolize the flow of sound.

The Junior Eurovision final will take place at the Minsk-Arena this Sunday. Representatives fr om 20 countries came to Belarus, and this is a record number in the history of the competition. Right from the Palace of Independence, the children went to the Minsk-Arena, wh ere the first rehearsals took place.
