These days Minsk has become a place of attraction not only for the sports elite, but also for the political one. Yesterday, a real marathon of bilateral talks was held in the Palace of Independence with distinguished guests who flew in to the opening of the II European Games. With the President of Serbia, it was agreed that more joined economic projects are required. Aleksandar Vučić hopes that the planned visit of the Belarusian Head of State to Belgrade will take place and will bring cooperation to a new level.

In recent years, relations between the official Minsk and Tbilisi have significantly strengthened. Alexander Lukashenko assured the President of Georgia: Belarus will continue to support her country and develop a dialogue with it.

Salome Zourabichvili’s visit to the Belarusian capital is the first one, but the guest was forced to leave due to the heightened situation in Tbilisi.

When communicating with the delegation from the UK, Alexander Lukashenko noted that London had begun to work more actively with our country! We need to move on in this direction.

Belarus and the Chechen Republic are linked exclusively by friendly relations, which has been repeatedly confirmed in practice. Ramzan Kadyrov personally contributed to the liberation of Belarusians from Libyan captivity. Alexander Lukashenko awarded him the Order of Friendship of Peoples.

The head of the Russian government has arrived in Minsk to cheer for his compatriots. Russian athletes are among the favorites at these Games. Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev discussed not only sports issues, but also the topic of bilateral cooperation. The Belarusian leader announced upcoming meetings with his colleague Vladimir Putin. The President of Russia is expected to attend the closing of the European Games.
