President of Belarus begins official visit to Serbia

Alexander Lukashenko was met personally by his counterpart, President of Serbia Alexander Vucic.

The program of the visit began with a symbolic moment. The Heads of the States arrived at the memorial complex in honor of the liberators of Belgrade. It was opened in October 1954 to the 10th anniversary of the liberation of the city. The mass graves contain the remains of more than a thousand soldiers and partisans of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia, as well as 711 Red Army soldiers who died during the Belgrade operation of 1944. Alexander Lukashenko laid a wreath at the monument and left a note in the memorial book.

Alexander Lukashenko and Alexander Vucic will hold informal talks at the dinner Today, and an official meeting of the two leaders will be held in the Palace of Serbia tomorrow. The Presidents will discuss the development of political dialogue and economic interaction. They will pay special attention to the prospects of increasing commodity circulation, initiatives to create joint ventures and launch mutual investment projects. The program of the visit of Alexander Lukashenko provides for a meeting with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Serbia and deputies of the country's highest legislative and constitutional agencies. A Belarusian-Serbian business forum will be held in Belgrade. It is expected that a package of contracts and agreements worth approximately $ 100 million will be signed.
