Alexander Lukashenko begins official visit to Moldova

The Belarusian President will spend two days in Kishinev upon invitation of his Moldavian counterpart Nikolai Timofti. Besides, he will have meetings with the PM and the Head of the Parliament. The parties are going to discuss the trade and economic relations and situation in the region. The presidents of both countries will make a joint declaration to the press.


Moldova is an important trade and economic partner of Belarus. It ranks 15th in the volume of the Belarusian export and 4th among our CIS partners. Belarus imports a lot of wine products form Moldova and the trade turnover between our countries is likely to grow.


This is the second visit of President Alexander Lukashenko to Moldova. The legal framework between our countries includes over 60 documents.
