A draft decree regulating the issues of advertising in the media submitted to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Its discussion was one of the topics of the meeting with the head of state on current issues of the media.

Alexander Lukashenko said that the draft decree had already been considered several times from different sides by both the government and the Presidential Administration.

"Today the situation has changed dramatically. The current geopolitical conflict has resulted in a new barrage of predatory sanctions against Russia and Belarus," said the President. Given the fact that there is a likelihood that this pressure will continue, we need to decide how to act in this situation, the head of state said. "What shall we do? What should we do? Do we have any real tools to support the media in this situation? I would like to get answers to these questions from the Minister of Information first of all. He's a good specialist in this respect," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The President emphasized that today's conversation will be not only about the economy, although it is an important issue. "I will never get tired of repeating: any support can be provided only under a specific development plan. You should understand, I honestly, sincerely tell you: until you have not exhausted your ability to earn, don't use the budget," warned the head of state. - There is no excess money in the budget. But if necessary, we will always find the money."
