Minsk hopes for starting an active dialogue with Warsaw, as stated by Alexander Lukashenko at yesterday’s meeting with Marshal of the Polish Senate Stanislaw Karczewski.
Poland is currently Belarus’ third partner in terms of trade turnover and is one of the top 10 investors in the country’s economy. Recent years have seen the intensification of dialogue between the two countries and a number of visits at different levels, the President stressed. However, Belarus and Poland have to raise political relations to the level of economic ones. In turn, Stanislaw Karczewski pointed out the importance of interparliamentary relations.
The meeting also discussed the prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Poland. Western businessmen are ready to intensify investment cooperation.
