A large-scale meeting on the agrarian sector was held in the Palace of Independence, raising such issues as social standards in the country and manufacture of environmentally friendly products.
President Alexander Lukashenko demanded to hold inspections of all the violations committed in the agro-industrial complex and change the style of work in the agrarian sector. The head of state stressed: "Farming is business, not a social project." He set the task to shift to the manufacture of natural food products and search for new markets.
The government was tasked with developing a mechanism for the implementation of the concept of "Village of the Future", within which new social standards must be fully implemented in the country.
